Principal’s Message

SAVA Charter School Principal

Welcome! My name is Morri Elliott, and I have worked at Sacramento Academic and Vocational Academy for ten years – first as a teacher and now as an administrator. It is a privilege to work with students and parents in the Sacramento and Elk Grove communities as the Principal of SAVA. If you find your way onto a SAVA campus anytime in the near future you will see that it does not look much like your traditional high school. Although we are a public school, we offer students a chance to break out of the mold of the typical classrooms that can be found all over our region. We offer students a chance to learn in a one on one, small group or small classroom based environment. SAVA offers an innovative approach to learning where you can personalize your education to fit your learning styles and needs. Teachers at SAVA specialize in individualizing instruction to make curriculum relevant and engaging to every student they serve. Every teacher at SAVA is fully credentialed and our school is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).

SAVA’s unique learning model is not the only thing that sets us apart from other schools. At SAVA, students are given opportunities to take part in hands-on, engaging, career technical education (CTE) classes spanning eleven different career pathways. Students at SAVA can take courses like Digital Photography and Recording Theory if interested in Media Arts. We offer Wildland Fire and Emergency Medical Response if you’re interested in public service. We also offer Clean Diesel Technology in our brand new diesel shop and culinary classes in our new kitchens. Our goal is for you to graduate from SAVA empowered and ready to successfully take on the next stage of life in college or a career field.

If you’ve never visited a SAVA campus I invite you to stop by and see the great things happening each day at every one of our four campuses. We exist to serve you, the students, and to provide you the best quality education possible. I look forward to seeing you around campus sometime soon.

Sincerely,

Morri Elliott
